About Us
Our History
Our church was founded in 1899 by a group of dedicated Christians who wanted to create a welcoming space for all people. Since then, we have grown into a vibrant community that serves our members and our city.

- Sunday School at 10 am
- Worship Service Every Sunday at 11 am
- Virtual Bible Study Every Tuesday at 7 pm
Our faith is grounded in the Bible and centered on the person of Jesus Christ. Through sound teaching and preaching, grounded, enlivened in personal experience, and tested by reason. Our purpose is straightforward: to lead people to respect and praise Jesus. We are not about a structure or any convoluted theological system, but about helping people from all backgrounds experience the pleasure that comes from knowing and serving Jesus Christ.
We'd love to have you join us for Sunday School, Worship In The Word with Pastor Mack A. Gadsden, Sr., or a Bible Study. We understand that visiting a new church can be nerve-wracking, so our goal is to make you feel at home here. If you come, you can either take part or just watch. You'll meet a bunch of nice people who are all after the same thing: God. Classes for kids of all ages are available at our church, and yours will too.
If we actively seek God, the Bible says we will discover Him. God created you with a purpose, and He longs to have a personal relationship with you. Come, then, and walk with us as we seek God.
Our Family
Family is important to us here at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church - North Charleston, and we think the church should be welcoming to individuals of all ages.
Our regular services include age-appropriate children's ministries so kids may meet Jesus in a safe and fun setting.
Our Leadership
The leadership of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church - North Charleston sees to the spiritual welfare of the congregation as a whole. Every Sunday, Reverend Mack A. Gadsden, Sr. shares solid, applicable teachings from the Bible. Furthermore, our personnel attend theological and pastoral training events at the regional, state, and national levels. Because of this, we may go out into the world with a thirst for knowledge and a desire to help God's people. The leadership team at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church - North Charleston is a blessing because they have a heart for Christ and a desire to do His work.
